GREENOUGH, Montana  –  Meeting planners “hankering” for a venue full of personality and adventure have a new option just outside of Missoula, Montana. For everything from annual Board of Directors meetings and exclusive executive retreats to corporate product launches, sales incentive programs and customer appreciation events, The Resort at Paws Up combines breathtaking “Big Sky” scenery with a bounty of outdoor activities and five-star amenities. And with the launch of its new “Reserve the Ranch” program, the resort offers exclusive retreats for a wide range of groups from two to 200 guests.

Paws Up is situated along ten winding miles of the Blackfoot River, made famous by Robert Redford’s classic, A River Runs Through It. Set on 37,000 acres of pristine Montana wilderness, Paws Up boasts an average of 335 acres per guest at full occupancy. And for the first time, the resort is offering a "rent the ranch" buy-out option in 2012 giving groups exclusive reign of the property for just over $0.50 an acre.

Buy-out rates:
• Fall/Winter/Spring: $20,000 per day
• Summer: $50,000 per day

Buy-out rate includes:
• All 28 vacation homes (total of 73 bedrooms/66 bathrooms) which breaks down into the following home types:
o 6 Meadow Homes (2 bedrooms)
o 10 Big Timber Homes (2-3 bedrooms)
o 10 Wilderness Estates (3 bedrooms)
o 1 Morris Ranch House (4 bedrooms)
o 1 Blackfoot River Lodge (4 bedrooms)
• Exclusive use of all property facilities, restaurants, meeting venues and activities

Paws Up offers several unique venue options, ranging from the rustic to refined, for special events and groups of all sizes. Paws Up offers a full menu of teambuilding activities, tournaments and thrilling outdoor adventures like fly-fishing, horseback riding, ATV tours, hiking, mountain biking, whitewater rafting, kayaking and wildlife watching. Paws Up offers one of America’s few resort-based sporting clay courses, which was designed by 14-time national and international champion Andy Duffy. Leave the golf clubs behind and try a clay shooting tournament instead.

For the “soft” adventurers, Paws Up also offers spa treatments, en-tent at Spa Town or en-suite during the winter months, a gourmet restaurant, lively Western bar, and seasonal events such as live music, cooking classes and photography lessons.

Accommodations for a maximum of 150 guests range from a converted barn loft to private 3,200-square-foot, three-suite Wilderness Estates. Each features flat screen TVs, wireless Internet access, 300-count linens, laundry rooms, kitchens, and a décor that’s rich in rustic elegance. With the unique option of luxurious homes for accommodations, Paws Up provides an excellent option for family reunions or an exclusive retreat for CEO’s and VIP’s.
