Don't miss this! Vanek Benefit Trail Ride, BBQ, & Dance...July 3, 2011 in Montana
Patrick Vanek was born in 1982 in Lewistown, Montana, and, in one of those tragedies no one can understand, died at his ranch December 28, 2010, when a stack of small straw bales collapsed on him. Only 28, Pat left a wife Kandi and two young daughters, Addison and Alexis. No one can do anything to bring Pat back or to mitigate his family's grief. However, we can ALL help get Pat's little girls to college.
The WAR Women invite you to take part in their newest project to help children visited by unthinkable tragedy and we invite you to enthusiastically support it in any way that you can.
You are hereby cordially invited to join the WAR Women on Sunday, July 3, at Camp Runamuck for a special trail ride and BBQ and dance. Kandi Vanek intends to bring her two little girls and take part in the whole shebang!
The trail ride will start about 8 in the morning, stop for lunch on the trail, and continue until mid-afternoon; the BBQ will start about 6:30 and will be followed by a dance; and there could be a free jam session with poets and pickers for an hour or two before the BBQ. There likely will be a pancake breakfast on the mornings of July 3rd and 4th for anyone who prefers to bring a bedroll, throw it out under the stars, and spend the nights. Added fun will be authentic chuck wagons complete with cook tent and fly, wagons and teams, etc.
Participants MUST pre-pay and pre-register by June 1. Trail ride numbers may be limited - if so, first come-first served!
The WAR Women will, of course, donate all their time and effort to this cause, and they are looking for other generous folks to help out with food donations for lunch on the trail, the breakfasts, and the BBQ. We also hope to have live music donated for the dance. Folks who can't come but want to help the little Vanek girls get to college can simply send checks made payable to Linda Grosskopf(firstname.lastname@example.org). Plainly mark for "Vanek Benefit."
Note: Camp Runamuck, the home of Dick and Linda Grosskopf, is located 16 miles east of Billings, Montana, two miles north of Interstate 90 @ Arrow Creek Exit #469.
