Gorgeous photos of The Glu & Krista Hotels in Argentina!

During my trip to Argentina to visit some amazing estancias and ultimately loving Estancia Los Potreros, Estancia Ranquilco, and Estancia Huechahue, I was also very fortunate to stay at two amazing hotels!

Glu Hotel

In the Tree lined district of Palermo the independent Glu Hotel is without a doubt one of the best hotels I’ve stayed.

The hotel is an oasis in a bustling area filled with restaurants, cafes and designer boutique shopping, an area I felt totally safe in day and night.

This tasteful modern hotel has spacious rooms, large comfortable beds and top-quality linen. The bathroom was stocked with fantastic L'Occitane products and the shower, which can’t go unmentioned, was truly a power shower! With private balconies and an excellent selection of wines in the mini bar, Glu Hotel pay attention to detail. The roof top terrace and hot tub are always available to hang out if you need a break from exploring the local area.

However what really makes Glu Hotel stand out above the rest is the flawless 5 star treatment from the owner and staff.  They cheerfully answered all my questions, helped with directions and transport from certain shops to recommending places to eat as well as being very patient with all my questions before my arrival.

Just a couple of blocks from Plaza Cortázar, this plaza is packed on weekends with vendors selling clothing, art and jewelry, as the evening draws in it gets no less busy with the bars and restaurants truly coming alive and it’s not hard to find a taste of the Buenos Aires nightlife.

Thankfully the noise of Buenos Aires partying is unheard once I was tucked up in the luxury of my room!

Krista Hotel

Hotel Krista in Palermo is one of the original boutique hotels in Buenos Aires. Cristina the owner has kept the charm of this century old building and created a relaxed and calm atmosphere where the rooms are peaceful away from the buzz of the Palermo streets.

The interior is stylish and elegant with beautiful tiled floors and stained glass windows. The rooms are traditional with paneled walls and high ceilings, king beds and good quality linen. The bathroom was clean and simple rather than the sumptuous feel of Glu.

It’s not quite luxury but more grownup chic, with most hotels renovating the old buildings to be modern, you feel you are staying in an original and beautiful piece of Argentinan architecture that has retained it’s character.

Breakfast is served in a pretty glass covered courtyard and the staff are friendly and on hand to help with any requests. Krista is excellent value for money and a real slice of the old colonial style you hope to stay in whilst in Buenos Aires.

I highly recommend that as you head to any one of the Top50 Estancias, that you contact these hotels and stay with them! Let them know Kate with Top50 Ranches sent ya! Feel free to contact Top50 anytime to visit with me, Kate, as I am happy to answer any questions you have!
